the Piscean Creed

My name is Patrick R. Golden. I am a guitarist, musician, actor, writer, and all-around creative ne'er-do-well. Born in Bakersfield, CA, the same year that Star Wars was born. Coincidence? Yes. Yes, it was.

I am first and foremost a guitarist. Primarily self-taught from the age of 12, I did end up with a fantastic guitar teacher later on, who showed me the wonderful world of J.S. Bach, Vivaldi, Carcassi, Mozart, Fernando Sor, and others--as well as exposing me to flamenco. But the call of the wild was too strong, and eventually he turned to Yngwie Malmsteen and Joe Satriani as his primary teaching tools. He was a remarkable teacher. Since then, I've played in many cover bands and a few originals including: Bog Iron (Celtic rock); Vulture King (slow heavy rock), Hades Landscape (thrash), O'Craven (Pirate Celtic Rock), PIPR, and others.

I am currently gigging/touring as a solo artist (as The Piscean Creed) and as a founding member of Bog Iron. I'm also currently writing a heavy pirate folk metal album under the moniker 'Wicked Dick Saxon.'
